Adele Jones is Deputy CEO at the Sustainable Food Trust. She has been with the SFT since 2013, and now oversees the organisation's strategic activities. In recent years, one of her major focuses has been the development of a project called the Global Farm Metric - an internationally common framework for measuring on-farm sustainability. She is currently an advisor to the Scottish Government. In 2020 she undertook a part time secondment with the Welsh Government, and in 2019 she completed a part-time secondment with DEFRA, both times working to develop metrics for monitoring the new post-Brexit farm support schemes. Previous to these roles, Adele has a background in geography and soil science.

Angela has spent 20 years working in AD, with involvement in a number of projects/publications for Welsh government, the Royal Agricultural Society of England, the International Energy Agency and academic journals. She is joint manager of the BBSRC Environmental Biotechnology Network (formerly AD Network), a research project which provides funding and links to more than 1000 academics and industry members. She also is co-owned Methanogen UK who manufactured small farm and micro-scale anaerobic digesters. Projects includes LEAP’s micro-AD project near London’s Kings’ Cross, a ‘dog do gas lamp digester’ and a number of other community projects. She has run her own household digester for 10 years and is part of the University’s ‘Circular Bioeconomy’ team, demonstrating a solar-powered mobile digester and science activities to thousands of people.

Anthony runs Quex Park, which is a 500-hectare country estate in Kent. The estate grows wheat, oilseed rape, oats, beans, seed peas, grass seed and potatoes. It also has grazing for a suckler beef herd whose meat is sold locally to farm shops. It contracts farms a further 500 hectares and has over 60 hectares under environmental schemes. A programme of diversification was also implemented which includes: a farm shop and restaurant, children’s soft play centre, craft village, adventure (crazy) golf, farm park which includes a maize maze with seasonal Halloween and Christmas attractions, garden nursery, paintball, alpaca walking trails, school for children with multiple disabilities and a forest school, as well as events ranging from classic car days to music festivals. He believes passionately that farming and conservation must have a joint approach and it is essential for the future that the public of all ages need to be informed and enthused about the countryside and its importance for food production and wildlife. He has previously been the Kent NFU chairman and been Trustee Board member of the Kent County Agricultural Society. He is now the England Chair of the Nature Friendly Farming Network.

Bean has an Honours Degree in Physics from Imperial College, is an Associate of the Royal College of Science, and is a founding member of the Heat Pump Federation (HPF). Professor Iain Donnison is Head of the Institute of Biological, Environmental & Rural Sciences (IBERS) at Aberystwyth University. He has a BSc in Horticulture from Reading University, a PhD in molecular and cell biology from Cardiff University and received Fellowships from the Royal Society and Max Planck Society to work at the Plant Breeding Institute in Cologne. He is a plant, agricultural and environmental scientist whose research focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies within farmed and semi-natural systems. He also works with industry to translate academic research including how agriculture and land use can help society to achieve net zero targets. He is Director of the UKRI Perennial Biomass Crops for Greenhouse Gas Removal Demonstrator to upscale biomass feedstocks; Director of the pan Wales BEACON Biorefining Centre to translate research into new low carbon products and processes; is Deputy Director of the UKRI Supergen Bioenergy Hub and leads the feedstocks topic; and co-ordinates a BBSRC Strategic Programme on resilient crops to understand how plants can be optimised to grow on marginal land and be adapted to a range of climate associated stresses; and has collaborated with scientists across Europe through his participation in different EU programmes including Horizon 2020, Interreg, Life+ and ERA-Net.

Between 1999 and 2003 Jake worked for Velcourt as a Farm Manager, in Kent, Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire before moving to Overbury Farms in 2003. Farm enterprises managed included dairy, sheep, arable, potatoes, vegetables and sugar beet. Jake currently manages the 1590 Ha in-hand farming operations for Penelope Bossom trading as Overbury Enterprises on the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire border. The farm gained LEAF Demonstration Farm (Linking Environment and Farming) status in 2012. The arable farm has been in in a Regenerative Agriculture system since 2015 and is integrated with a flock of 1000 outdoor lambing ewes. The farm hosts a very diverse Higher Tier Stewardship scheme which started in January 2021. In January 2013 Jake gave a paper at the Oxford Farming Conference, ‘Will Precision Farming Change the Face of UK Agriculture?’ In January 2014 he presented some of his Nuffield Farming Scholarship findings at the Pershore Farming Conference and The Real Oxford Farming Conference. In October 2012 Jake was awarded a Nuffield Farming Scholarship, his topic was ‘Breaking the Wheat Yield Plateau in the UK’. Post Nuffield Jake has presented his findings to the Nuffield Conference, Groundswell Conference and the Institute of Agricultural Managers at their annual conference in November 2014 and that month was awarded the Farm Business – Food and Farming ‘Progressive Farmer on the Year’. In 2020 Jake was awarded the ‘Soil farmer of the Year’ award by the Farm Carbon Toolkit, is a farmer advisor for Trinity Ag Tech and a director of The Green Farm Collective. In 2021 Jake was crowned Environmental Champion by Farmers Weekly and as Arable Innovator of the Year at the British Farming Awards. Jake has previously been co-opted to the National Crops Board for the National Farmers Union and is currently Worcestershire County Chairman. Jake has been writing a blog (farmerjakef.blogspot.com) since 2006 and has been ‘tweeting’ since October 2010 (@No1FarmerJake). Harvest 2011 saw the launch of his YouTube channel documenting life at Overbury Farms, helping promote the positive aspects of our Regenerative Agricultural system.

Jeremy has worked with Agrimetrics for two years but has over 30 years of the spatial data / location intelligence sector. Jeremy was part of Kingston University’s 1992 GIS “vanguard”. Kingston was the first University in the world to offer a degree course in what was then a new discipline and Jeremy was in the first graduating class. In his career he has provided on-site management and direction of services to develop, install, integrate and maintain everything from enterprise-wide to stand-alone GI systems at a number of FMCG organisations including Imperial Tobacco, Carlsberg Tetley, Circular Distributors and First Drinks.
