The Livestock Information Service (LIS) is the online platform for recording sheep/goat/deer movements. Designed to improve the performance and sustainability of the livestock industry, using LIS online will help to improve the accuracy and timeliness of livestock movement data throughout the supply chain.
Created as a joint venture between industry and government, the LIS provides a single sign on platform for livestock keepers and those in the supply chain to report sheep/goat/deer movements. The service is free and easy to use and is both highly efficient and more sustainable when compared with paper recording.
The service currently supports sheep, goat and deer movements, and development is underway to onboard cattle and pig movement data onto LIS too. This will provide a dynamic, multispecies, livestock traceability platform to track livestock movements and accompanying data in one place.
