Lucy Hopwood is Business Development Director and Lead Consultant for Bioenergy and Anaerobic Digestion at NNFCC, the bioeconomy consultants. Lucy comes from an agricultural background and has worked across all types, scales and feedstock mixes in the AD sector for the past 20 years.  

Lucy is responsible for providing strategic advice, planning and technical support on bioenergy policies, technologies and markets, to de-risk developers and investors decisions and to provide technical support to policy makers to help shape the future policy landscape.

About this session:

This presentation will provide a policy update on the current focus and future vision for AD and biomethane in the UK, with consideration of the role agriculture is expected to play. With regenerative agriculture being so high on the farming agenda, it is key to consider how AD aligns with agri policy and contributes to the achievement of both energy & environmental targets.
