Agroforestry, the integration of trees with farming, can increase natural capital on UK farms. Research and experience is demonstrating that planting fruit trees can increase food production, tree establishment can offset greenhouse gas emissions on other parts of the farm, agroforestry can increase on-farm biodiversity, and parkland systems can have high recreational value.
