Rachel Hayes
Rachel Hayes is the Consents and ESG Policy Manager at Solar Energy UK, where she leads the associations work on ground mounted solar with a focus on the environment and agriculture.
Rachel offers expertise on energy, environment, and agricultural policy, as well as in matters concerning natural capital and biodiversity net gain. She actively engages with policymakers, seeking to influence and shape future policy landscapes in alignment with national biodiversity and climate targets.
Prior to Rachel joining Solar Energy UK in 2019, she accumulated experience in conservation and sustainability within the voluntary sector. Her educational background includes studying at Sparsholt Agricultural College in Hampshire, reflecting her keen interest in agriculture.
